LE PASSIONI DELL'UOMO
Gold, ruby, white and brown diamonds
The work was inspired by the ancient city of Volcei, where the city of Buccino (SA) stands today. The archaeological site contains a mosaic floor dating from the 4th century B.C. which is represented in the upper part of the jewel. The relationship between Dionysus and wine is the fulcrum of the work’s symbolism. Inflamed by the wine of the Dionysian banquet, the Grecian man expresses his sentiments, his instincts, and his passions are awakened.
